That aside, I was recently asked what my favourite fast-food restaurant is. I'd say Taco Bell, but there was only one in Sydney and its been ages since I ate there and its probably closed down now. :( So I'm here to introduce you to a new place, which I think is quite possibly makes the best halal burgers EVER (not kidding; there aren't many halal burger joints.)
I'm sorry but this may be irrelevant if you don't live in Sydney or aren't planning to visit Sydney soon. (So, in a way, this is relevant to Justin Beiber, who just happened to have just Tweeted coming out of the plane into Sydney...)
OKAY I'LL SHUT UP ABOUT HIM AND GET ON WITH THE BURGER.
Enter: Roselands Centro food court. Wedged in between KFC and Subway, is the best food you will ever eat for lunch. Well, for me, considering my budget >.>. The place is called Amore Gourmet Burger Grill (or something along those lines.)
Well, I don't have a picture of the named "New York" burger I ate (the fact that it tastes like New York is debatable *mmm... tastes like big woman statue with pointy hat*) so I can only merely describe it.
I bit into the burger. It was all nice until I tasted a meat familiar to me. I may have eaten it as a (younger) child. It was a strip of beef, soaked in brine, fried, put in my burger. It was beef bacon. Cue uplifting MasterChef music, I ate something good.
Of course, me being Muslim and all I don't eat bacon of the oink-oink kind. Just want to put it out there for all my Muslim friends: hope is out there. There is bacon made out of beef.
So yeah. Eat a burger. Now.
